Who we are, what we do?

WE ARE A START-UP COMPANY, LOCATED IN SOUTHWEST GERMANY, IN THE BLACK FOREST, SPECIALISED IN GROWING GOURMET MUSHROOMS, PROCESS- AND COMMERCIALISING THEM, AND ORGANISING SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AROUND MUSHROOMING.

 

 

Our team is a combination of family and a highly devoted small group of professionals, private entrepreneurs with wide experience in mushroom farming, processing and commercializing.  

 

The Kaiserpilz business model is addressing the needs of the niche market of gourmet mushrooms, growing dynamically with the market both in the spectrum of products and in the geographical market presence. Our main products are the fresh mushroom, secondary being the processed fungi - mostly dried, or as pesto.

 

We produce our fungi indoor, in a certified organic way, with full environmental control. We produce our own substrates and compost while having strategic partners for the spawn. Mushroom growing happens in organic beds, with composition as close as possible to Mother Nature to obtain the real taste. The saprotrophic fungi are being grown on log piles, for the same reason. 

We are also actively collecting new strains from the wild, collaborating with some of the biggest strain banks in the world.
